Metro Nr0th

The Metro North Railroad is one of two commuter rail services operated by the MTA.

Commuter rail is a form of passenger rail transport that operates between a large urban area, such as a city, and outer suburbs. The MTA operates two forms of commuter rail in the New York City area: the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) serving Long Island and the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, and the Metro-North Railroad, serving the Hudson Valley, Coastal Connecticut, and the boroughs of Manhattan and The Bronx. The MTA operates 16 commuter rail routes, with 2,429 train cars in service.
